Nigeria: Kidnapped priest released after 3 months in captivity
The Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan in Nigeria announces the release of Fr Nathaniel Asuwaye, who was abducted on 7 February 2026 from his parish residence in Kaduna State.

In a statement issued on 12 May, the Catholic Diocese expressed “deep gratitude to God” for the safe return of Fr Nathaniel Asuwaye after three months in captivity.
