Course:
Do you love me? — Exploring John’s Gospel in Light of Catholic Social Teaching with Prof. Michael Howard
The Gospel of John is well-known for its frequent use of the word “love” and emphasizes key themes relevant to our society today, particularly in relation to Catholic Social Teachings (CST). These themes include the dignity of the human person, the common good, and more. In this course, participants explore narratives from John’s Gospel that align with our CST, with the goal of practicing Ignatian spirituality and the concept of the Magis (the pursuit of God’s glory). This exploration aims to help participants respond to Jesus’ profound question, “Do you love me?” This course focuses on application in parishes and addresses social ills that hinder our flourishing.
The class meets online from 9:00 am to 10:00 AM 9PST) on the following Saturdays: 10/18 Orientation, 10/25, 11/1. 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29, and 12/6
