The University of Notre Dame seeks an Executive Director, Diversity and Engagement for Student Affairs

February 8, 2024 |

Guided by the University’s Catholic, Holy Cross mission, the Division of Student Affairs promotes the holistic education of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students so that all may flourish at the University of Notre Dame and beyond. Through this shared work, services, and partnerships, Student Affairs seeks to honor individual experiences and foster a sense of belonging; deepen engagement in faith; and cultivate meaningful relationships that empower students and enable them to develop in mind, body, and spirit.

The Executive Director of Diversity and Engagement reports directly to the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), serves on the VPSA’s leadership team, and is an integral member of the Division’s strategic planning efforts.  The Executive Director’s primary focus is to lead Student Affairs’ efforts around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and to firmly situate these efforts within the University’s Catholic, Holy Cross mission and character.   Included in the Executive Director’s responsibilities are the supervision and oversight of three departments that report through the Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, specifically the Gender Relations Center (GRC), the Multicultural Student Programs and Services (MSPS), and the Office of Student Enrichment (OSE).  Additionally, the Executive Director will provide all strategic oversight, supervision and direction for the Center’s staff and the new physical space opened in Fall of 2023.
