“What We Have Seen & Heard”: Celebrating 40 Years

Academic Symposium on Black Catholic Liturgy & Culture

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Office of African American Ministries in collaboration with the University of Dayton invites you to share in the Academic Symposium commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Pastoral Letter, ‘What We Have Seen and Heard’.

The pastoral letter, written by the 10 Black Catholic Bishops, “urges Black people to take to heart our words of encouragement to spread the message of Christ to our own and to those of all other ethnic and racial groups…Let it be the responsibility of every parish council and every parish team to ponder the meaning of Black evangelization and the burden of this pastoral letter in respective community.”
