Gesu Catholic Church, Detroit, seeks a Parish Life Director

Gesu Catholic Church, a Jesuit Parish of the Archdiocese of Detroit, is seeking to fill this full-time position. The primary responsibilities are to help nourish, support, and develop ongoing parish life. This ministerial position helps to oversee liturgy, faith formation, pastoral care, and religious education. As a leader of the parish, this person will be expected to work collaboratively with Gesu’s priests, the staff, and parishioners to carry out the mission of the parish.

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in areas such as pastoral care / ministry or
a parish ministry background. Experience working in a parish setting is highly recommended.
Additionally, candidates are expected to have worked with diverse communities or appreciate the
commitment to efforts of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Finally, familiarity with Ignatian spirituality and
ongoing adult faith formation is greatly appreciated and celebrated at Gesu.
