Featured Article: Reflections on Race in America Today - I grew up in the Deep South, at a time of even deeper segregation, a convenient term used to describe the complete separation of the races. It defined every aspect of our lives, where we lived, worked or went to school, and, especially, where we worshiped. (Martin Luther King, quipped, that Sunday morning church services were the most segregated hours.) For families venturing out for entertainment or recreation it meant figuring out what was opened to us, and staying away from those that were restricted. Gregory CliffordCuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald appointed the county's first law director Monday, February 7, 2010, tapping Gregory Clifford, chief magistrate of the Cleveland Municipal Court. Clifford, will serve as the legal adviser to both FitzGerald and the new charter government's 11-member council. A past chairman of the 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, first vice president of the Ohio Association of Magistrates, he has serve on a number of Diocesan Board of the Directors, Committees, Councils, Diocesan Agencies Board of Trustees and Catholic Charities Executive Board of Directors , Clifford has been a judge for 24 years.

May God continue to bless his family and the people of Cuyahoga County!
