Youth Participant Code of Conduct

Youth participants will:

  1. Project an image of Christian consideration, sensitivity, and respect to everyone and to the property around them through language, dress, and behavior

  2. Refrain from inappropriate touching and verbal harassment

  3. Respect other persons and/or property

  4. Refrain from actions that could result in injury and/or damage to property

  5. Adhere to stated curfew

  6. Wear appropriate credentials in order to gain and maintain access to NBCC events and activities

  7. Keep their personal belongings with them at all times

  8. Attend all scheduled activities, arriving promptly, and staying for the entire event

  9. Be aware of noise levels in lobbies, hallways, and sleeping areas, especially later in the evenings

  10. Maintain the spirit of the event

  11. Report problems of an kind to a trusted adult

Youth participants will not:

  1. Possess weapons of any kind

  2. Purchase, possess, consume, or distribute alcohol

  3. Purchase, possess, consume, or distribute illegal drugs

  4. Engage in any form of sexual activity or peer sexual harassment

  5. Purchase, download, possess, or distribute pornography

  6. Visit or gather in hotel rooms with the opposite gender

The following behaviors are generally considered inappropriate at an NBCC event:

  1. Inappropriate or lengthy embraces

  2. Kisses on the mouth

  3. Holding children on the lap who are capable of sitting on their own

  4. Touching bottoms, chests, or genital areas

  5. Showing affection in isolated areas of a facility such as bedrooms, restrooms, bathrooms, closets, staff-only areas, or other private rooms

  6. Being in or on a bed with an adult

  7. Touching knees or legs of minors

  8. Wrestling with minors

  9. Tickling minors

  10. Piggyback rides

  11. Any type of massage given by minor to adult or another minor

  12. Any type of massage given by adult to minor

  13. Any form of unwanted affection or peer sexual harassment

  14. Compliments or put downs that relate to physique or body development

  15. Going to an isolated area away from the group, or being taken to an isolated area by an adult or peer
