Sankofa Family Summit XI
April 25, 2008 - April 27, 2008

Annual National Conference for youth, young adults and families, Sankofa Family Summit XI on April 25, 2008 - April 27, 2008. The primary goal of the Summit is to respond to the educational, psychological, and spiritual needs of families of African ancestry. The family summit will encompass keynote speakers, workshops and will end with a liturgical celebration. Main events feature holy hip hoppers, gospel rappers, step ministries, local and visiting youth choirs, vocals, praise dancers, drummers, mimes, and much more.

On Friday, April 25, 2007, you won't want to miss our weekend kick-off with a "Sankofa Fest" at the Orlando Sun Resort, at 6:30 PM. Saturday, April 26, 2008 loads of youth leadership development and empowerment activities will be conducted. Community wellness training opportunities will be offered through out the AOW Enrichment Institute and an inspirational field trip to the Holy Land Experience of Orlando. What's more??? Saturday, April 26, 2008 features a "Southern Style Barbeque Buffet" starting at 6:00 PM. Moreover "Gospel Faith Explosion Under the Stars" sets inspiration in motion on the grounds of Orlando Sun Resort, at 7:30 PM. We encourage all youth, youth leaders, families, and friends to come together in affirming this coming year's theme "Believing is P.O.W.E.R."
