July 8-10, 1890

The Second Black Catholic Congress was held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. William Lofton of Washington states in his address "the most imperative need is education." Congress calls for the establishment of an Industrial School and demands the abolition of the slave trade in Africa.
