Pam Harris
Pam Harris is the
Coordinator of the Office for Black Catholics in the Diocese of Richmond. She is
a native of Richmond, VA and spent her formative years being schooled on
military bases in Europe. Pam began her work with the diocese on November 17,
2008. In addition to her role with the Office for Black Catholics, Pam is the
coordinator for the Office of Asian Ministry. Pam's skills include finance and
accounting background and project management.
Pam is very active in her parish, Holy Rosary
Catholic Church, Richmond, serving as an altar server and Chair of the
Justice/Peace Ministry. She also serves as Master of Ceremonies for the Bishop.
Pam's volunteer activities include Special Olympics, Meals on Wheels, and Junior
Achievement.
Pam serves as Secretary for the National Black
Catholic Congress (NBCC) Board of Trustees, and serves as Secretary for the
National Association of Black Catholic Administrators (NABCA). She is a member
of the NAACP, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History
(ASALH), and a supporter of the African American History and Culture Museum at
the Smithsonian. Pam received an Evangelization Award, 2010 from NABCA for
outreach to the Black Community in the Diocese of Richmond. She has two
children, Eric and Erica.
