Christopher S. Rhodes

Christopher S. RhodesChristopher S. Rhodes is the newly elected President for the National Black Catholic Seminarian Association, USA and a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Louisville Co-sponsored by the Military Archdiocese. For years, various Catholic Organizations, Parishes, and radio stations around the country have called upon Chris to speak about promoting and sustaining vocations. He has served as Chapel Assistant for Morehouse College and Ministry Assistant for the Lykehouse Newman Center under the direction of Reverend Edward B. Branch, following his conversion to the Catholic Church in 2002.

Christopher S. Rhodes is a native of Dallas, Texas. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Morehouse College and a Master's of Arts in Philosophy from Saint Meinrad School of Theology. He has received various awards, honors, and distinction after completing his service as an Infantry Officer and Finance Officer for the Department of Defense obtaining rank of Commander and Captain. During the Papal visit to the U.S. in 2008 he was assigned to serve at the Alter at Saint Patrick's Cathedral as Candle bearer and Server at Yankee Stadium. He is a licensed Catechist, Lector, and will become acolyte in 2010. In 2012, God willing, he will be ordained for the Archdiocese of Louisville as the only African American to be ordained over 20 years. Mr. Rhodes is currently in his 4th year of study as a Second Theologian at the nation's only Catholic University of America Theological College in Washington, D.C.
